About

If a picture is worth a thousand words, here you go:

favourite self portrait

Obviously I enjoy baking and drawing, and my other two big hobbies are video games and reading.  I’m from Atlantic Canada (east coast represent!!). Presently I’m living in fabulous Toronto, with Boyfriend and two cats.

love baking. Cooking not so much, but baked goods – I’m sold. I didn’t really bake much until 2009 when I got inspired by a Christmas dessert; it looked easy, it looked festive, and most importantly, it looked fun. I gave some to my family and it was a big hit. That encouraged me to branch out and try a few new things.

Somehow a few became a lot, including some spectacular triumphs (hello Baileys cheesecake) and some abysmal failures (the incredible collapsing birthday cake), which culminated in this blog.

I’m going to chronicle my adventures, which probably makes it sound much more dramatic than it is.

  1. Baileys cheesecake? Never heard of that particular type but I blimmin’ love cheesecake.

Do you like the Halo games by any chance?

    • If you enjoy Baileys Irish cream you would probably like this.

I’ve never played Halo, I don’t care for first person shooters. I like the instrumentals on the Halo soundtracks though. Mostly I play platform games, RPGs, and fighters. Speaking of Halo, have you seen the Halo Reach cake that Serious Cakes put on YouTube? Very cool.
